In the old days of feudalism...
The Great Centralinian Empire. The society of the Centralinian Empire has a clear class structure and the entire population of the Empire is divided into various estates. The nobility is the highest social class, the highest estate in the Empire (after the Imperial Family of course). The nobility, as the highest class of the Empire, intended for public administration, has a number of exclusive privileges, for example, to own the lands and people these lands inhabiting. People living on noble lands are legitimate serfs belonging to landowners, being their full property, which the feudal lords can dispose of at their own discretion. The landowners have full power over life and death of their subjects and serfs have no right independently to leave their owners without permission. However, noblemen often do not interfere much in the life of their subjects, allowing most of their serfs to lead independent economic activities, independent business, such as: agriculture, craft production, trade, demanding from the serfs only full-fledged performance of their duties, such as corvée or quitrent/tax payments. However, all this, including the sizes and volumes of duties, depends only on the will, mood and whims of the lords...
Vanilessa ve Lutomidr was the was the daughter of Count Lutomidr, - one of the most distinguished imperial generals. This Count was one of the richest nobles of the Empire, in whose vast landed estates lived tens of thousands of serfs. Count Lutomidr loved his children very much and often bestowed on them some of his untold riches, including land grants with the serfs who inhabited them. So, on her majority age Vanilessa received as a gift from her father a personal mansion and landed estates with villages and settlements where lived people who from now on passed to the absolute disposal of the girl, becoming her subjects, her vassals and her slaves.
However, it is worth noting that even against the background of the other imperial nobility, who loved various fads, Vanilessa, stood out especially because she absolutely did not want to match her female gender, preferring to dress in men's suits and spend time doing things appropriate to a noble male , but not to a cute noble girl: hunting, horse riding, fencing, and etc.. One day, Vanilessa, driving through her landholdings with the inspection, drove into one vast, large, populated and rich village. Unlike other villages, where the inhabitants were mainly peasant farmers, this village was geographically located at the intersection of profitable trade routes; therefore, most of the inhabitants of this village were wealthy artisans and merchants … In this village there lived a family of Kashemryaj - rich serfs, who were engaged in the commercial business, paying the landlord the established quitrent. The head of the family, - the respectable Mr. Kashemryaj had three sons, including the middle son Jarek. Being the son of a wealthy merchant, Jarek, like his brothers, had a school education, was literate (while among serfs literacy was a rare phenomenon) successfully helping his father in his business and commercial activities. The Kashemryaj family was also engaged in horse breeding, raising horses for sale. To his 20 years Jarek became an experienced expert in the breeding of horses, he liked to work with horses, loved horse riding and was not burdened by the status of a serf, because he had the opportunity to live with his family relatively free life ... to ... that moment as the Countess Vanilessa ve Lutomidr paid a visit to their village. There she noticed Jarek - this attractive and adroit young man who was able to masterfully handle horses and ordered to take him to her mansion, to her court to become one of her servants, her stableman. Of course, Jarek was not happy to leave his home and his family, but there's nothing to be done - the will of the lord is the law. So Jarek became a stableman at the court of Vanilessa, doing his job well and correctly...However, Vanilessa had some other kinds on Jarek … One day, she invited Jarek to her audience, telling him to dress up in female clothes specially prepared for him. However, Jarek, still a faithful, obedient and executive servant, dared to voice disobedience to his omnipotent lady, refusing as politely and respectfully, but at the same time firmly and confidently, saying that he was created by nature as a man and therefore not proper for him to do stupid things and to defame his manhood, by dressing up in female dresses. Then Vanilessa, angered by his refusal, ordered to quit Jarek in a damp, dirty and dark underground prison basement of her mansion, to put him in a very uncomfortable stocks, starving him and periodically beating him with whips and rods. A few weeks later, Vanilessa ordered to bring the exhausted Jarek to her, offering him the choice: either he agrees to dress in female clothes and become like a girl and a Vanilessa's fake-female-lover or she will order to beat him with a whip, to tear out his nostrils with burning pliers, to burn a brand on his body and send him to the galleys for hard labor for life imprisonment. Well, between the two evils, Jarek chose the least and reluctantly agreed to become like a girl for the fun of his lady.
To Jarek, According to the Vanilessa's order, were assigned special servants who were obliged to pretend that they care for Jarek and his appearance as a lady, but in fact they were his jailers, obliged to maintain femininity in him, making sure that the Jarek always looks as convincing as possible as a girl. To Jarek was assigned a personl maid, a governess and an acting teacher they had the goal of teaching him and to monitor so that the manners and behavior of the Jarek were always as feminine as possible.
At first, some servants from Vanillessa's mansion, seeing Jarek in his female guise, allowed themselves to laugh at him; however, Vanilessa soon forbade them to do this under threat of severe punishment.
Vanilessa decided that Jarek must be the most loaded/occupied by the things that befit a refined lady of high society. Therefore, she ordered to teach Jarek to ballroom dances, play music on the piano and harp, learn how to sing as a girl, play the main female roles in her personal home theater, and also sew and embroider. Now Jarek received a new female name Eminellia. Under the threat of strict physical punishment, Jarek always had to pretend to be a girl as thoroughly and accurately as possible. If, however Vanilessa found that Jarek accidentally allowed himself a man's manner or posed as a girl is not enough naturally and authentically, then she applied to him disciplinary measures to better train him (for example, deprivation of food, landing on a chain, putting in the stocks or flogging). Jarek was obliged to spend time with his lady, posing as her female-lover in romantic gatherings, dances or walks.
When in the mansion of Vanilessa were secular evenings for nobles, she represented Eminellia as a noble lady, who lives with her as her companion. At these secular parties, Eminellia was often the main fun. At these parties (s)he had to spend time with secular noble ladies, pretending to be one of them: to take part in their vain conversations on female themes, to dance in ballroom dances with his/her male partneras as a girl, etc... Many noble ladies appreciated the amusing venture of Vanilessa and soon in many mansions of the highest imperial nobility appeared new jesters: biological males who had to pretend to be females for the entertainment of their masters. Vanilessa often gave for her fake-female-lover expensive female things, such as, for example, dresses and jewelry as gifts and Jarek/Eminellia had to portray himself as a elegant, refined, spoiled, sentimental, voluptuous noble lady who enjoys her femininity …
In fact, Jarek/Eminellia hated being like a girl, (s)he hated dressing up in all these female dresses, corsets, wigs, stockings, shoes, jewelry, which seemed extremely uncomfortable to him, restricting him and limiting him in movements, almost like real torture tools. His physical suffering was aggravated by moral suffering: he felt incredibly embarrassed in ridiculous female appearance, dressing and looking like a girl, and also pretending to be a lady with all those silly and vain female manners.
Of course, Jarek was thinking about trying to escape from Vanilessa's captivity, and if his escape attempt would successful, he might try to enlist in the military service of the Imperial Army of the Centralinian Empire as a soldier; and then he could have become free from the power of his tormentor, because, according to the Imperial decree, which has the force of a legislative act, every servile person who previously belonged to feudal lords, who enters the service of the Imperial Army as a soldier, is no longer considered as a property of the masters to whom he belonged previously, but, instead, he is considered from now on as a military servant of the Emperor and, therefore, he thus becomes free from the power over him of his former masters…This idea seemed to Jarek encouraging and attractive, despite all the difficulties and hardships that take place in the life of a simple soldier, because if he enters the service of the Imperial Army, he could restore his manhood and thus become a real and complete man again. Maybe, thought Jarek, if he could escape from Vanilessa and join the army, then perhaps he could make a military career for himself in the army, earning himself a high and important military rank, because with his skills and abilities with horses, he certainly could become a good cavalryman, as it seemed to him.
However, it turned out to be very difficult and problematic for Jarek to realize his intentions to escape in practice, since the women's clothing he was constantly forced to wear severely restricted his mobility, thereby preventing his attempts to escape as if those clothes were real shackles. In addition, during his time in his female person, Jarek's body had become so weak and so effeminate that he doubted whether he would be able to withstand the physical exertion required to successful escape and for normal military service. In addition, Jarek was frightened by the idea that even if he managed to escape and enlist in the military, his potential colleagues in the Army might cruelly laugh at him if they found out his little secret: that he had to dress up in women's clothes previously, positioning and acting like a girl. All these factors kept Jarek from trying to make a real attempt to escape from Vanilessa.
Jarek/Eminellia, being immersed in femininity, felt himself more and more fragile, weak and helpless, like a real girl. In his insides, arose feelings that resembled female feelings. (S)he felt how his manhood goes away and (s)he hated it all. Jarek so hated being deprived of his masculinity solely because of Vanillessa's depraved whim, posing as a girl and leading this stupid girly life with all these feminine feelings arising in his gut against his will, that he seriously thought about suicide. However, he was held back from this desperate step by the thought that if he really committed suicide, then Vanilessa, being irritated by this form of protest willfulness on the part of Jarek, could order something terrible to be done to his family, given that the dead Jarek would already out of her control.
So, femininity became the real prison for Jarek, into which (s)he was placed against his will. But what could (s)he do about it? By the will of his mistress, (s)he was forced to live a female life. (S)he was forced to pretend to be a refined noble lady, while remaining in fact a rightless slave...
